The Manitou has been creating music since about 1998, when he hand-crafted a cassette of midi-files written on a radioshack keyboard and sequenced using the Gravis Ultrasound wavetable card and a primitive PC. Oh, those heady days!

His methods have evolved considerably since then, and he now employs a wide range of whizmo-gizmos in his home studio to create electronic music ranging from dance/techno, to laid-back atmospherics, to the genre that seems to fit him best: retro synthpop.
